Chevron Texaco Changed Identity

US oil corporation Chevron Texaco Corp. announced it has changed its corporate identity to Chevron Corporation, with immediate effect.

Disclosing this on Monday the company noted that all products and subsidiaries remained valid and would continue to expand the fortunes of Texaco, Chevron and Caltex retail brands.

This development, according to Chevron, was to "to present a clear, strong and unified presence in the global market place."
