Three Enron employees were sentenced
Daniel O. Boyle, a former finance executive of the collapsed US energy giant Enron, was sentenced by the US federal judge to 3 years and 10 months in prison for his role in a fraudulent deal with Merrill Lynch & Company that helped bolster Enron's earnings.
In addition, two former Merrill Lynch bankers, Robert S. Furst and William Fuhs were sentenced by Judge Ewing Werlein Jr. of United States District Court to 37 months in prison each for fraud and conspiracy in the transaction.
