U.S. gold futures rallied, rising on Monday $2.40 on currency-based buying due to a weaker dollar, which made the precious metal more attractive to investors.
December delivery gold jumped $2.40 to $444.60 an ounce, trading from $440.80 to $445.70 on the New York Mercantile Exchange's COMEX division.
