Gold on Stable $630

Gold held steady around $630 an ounce on Monday after volatile trade in New York but weak Tokyo futures were likely to cap gains.

Spot gold was quoted at $630,10/631,60 an ounce, hardly changed from $629,80/631,30 late in the US market on Friday.
