Oil Continued to Cheapen On Climb in US Inventories

Oil prices extended their recent decline Thursday as the market focused on a climb in U.S. crude oil inventories and waited for evidence of OPEC's recently announced output cut.

Traders say there is also some pressure on prices due to this week's soft U.S. economic data.

Light sweet crude for December delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 83 cents to settle at $57.88 a barrel.

In London, December Brent crude futures on London's ICE Futures exchange dropped $1.11 to settle at $57.87 a barrel.
