Oil companies Shell and Agip in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, have tightened security around their premises, after car bombs exploded near the companies on Monday afternoon.
At the Agip yard in Port-Harcourt yesterday, visitors were subjected to thorough screening at the gate before being allowed in. It was however a different ball game entirely at the Shell Industrial Area as no visitor was allowed in.
Only staff could gain entrance into the yard but this was after they had been thoroughly frisked by security men at the main gate.
