Lord Browne Resigned from Goldman Sachs Board

The Goldman Sachs Group said yesterday that John Browne, who quit as chief executive of BP on May 1, had resigned from the Goldman board.

Mr. Browne, who helped make London-based company british Petroleum into one of the largest oil companies in the world, had been a Goldman director since the investment bank went public in May 1999.
