Halliburton to Take Over Gulf Arab Firms

US oilfiled services company Halliburton is seeking to take over emerging Gulf Arab firms to expand its operations in the region.

The company wants to buy the emerging Gulf oil companies to boost its exploration options in exclusive areas.

The paper did not name the companies or countries that might be involved in the Halliburton deals.

Halliburton is setting up a corporate headquarters in Dubai in an effort to take a larger share of the oil and gas services market outside of the Americas.
