South Korea Fuel Prices Surged 35pct

Diesel fuel prices rose by 35 percent in South Korea this year from three years earlier, as the government levied increased taxes on the high-emission fuel in an anti-pollution drive.

The government introduced a green pricing system earlier this year so oil companies could contribute more to energy conservation and the development of clean and renewable energy.
