Brazil's state oil company PDVSA or Petrobras is to build a new production platform by the method of "cloning" an advanced model, the company said.
The new platform, called P-62, will be a repetition of P-54, a platform that were built in a period of 41 months and began operating in December last year.
According to Petrobas, using the "cloning" method will not need a bid so that a lot of time could be saved.
The P-62 will have a capability of producing 180,000 barrels a day, of storing 1.8 million barrels of oil and of compressing 6 million cubic meters of natural gas.
