Exxon Mobile donation to hurricaine Ike relief

Exxon Mobil Corp. gives $5 million to Hurricane Ike relief efforts in communities along the Gulf Coast, where it has facilities including a giant refinery in Baytown.

InThe annoncement came on Monday, according to it the donation was directed to the American Red Cross, the United Way, the Salvation Army and a state relief fund.

Actually it's not that big sum for Exxon, which earned $11.7 billion in the April-June quarter, the largest quarterly profit ever recorded by a U.S. corporation.
