Razvedka Dobycha KazMunayGaz (RD KMG), including its shares in Kazgermunay, CCEL and PetroKazakhstan, Inc. produced 3.183 million tons of crude in the first quarter of 2010, 440,000 tons or 16 percent more than in the same period in 2009, the company reported in a news release.
According to RD KMG, the higher figures are mainly due to the company’s share in PetroKazakhstan, Inc., which accounted for 487,000 tons. According to preliminary data, the company sold 2.077 million tons of crude in the first quarter of 2010 (not including slaes by Kazgermunay, CCEL or PetroKazakhstan). Of this amount, 1.717 million tons was exported.
