Saratovnefteprodukt, a TNK-BP subsidiary, plans to allocated over 28 million rubles ($1 million) in 2010 for projects related to reconstruction efforts at the Rtishchevkiy tank farm. A number of investment projects are to be carried out at the tank farm by the end of the year to increase industrial and environmental safety.
According to a company press release, the main project will be to build cleansing units at the tank farm. The Rtishchevskiy tank farm was launched in 1931 and is one of TNK-BP's main sales links in the north west section of Saratov Region, In 2009, 19,100 tons of oil products were sold through the site.
