Shell provides new acquisition opportunities in North Sea

Shell is proposing to divest its entire interests in the UK Licence Block 22/6s (North) containing the Bacchus Field and Licence Block 21/9 containing the Val d'Isere Prospect. Both Licences are operated by Apache and are in close vicinity to the Apache-operated Forties platforms. The Field Development Plan for the Bacchus Field has recently been approved by DECC. The Val d'Isere Prospect is being actively worked by Apache and any discovery would directly benefit from the experience gained on the Bacchus development.
