Under a program to consolidate energy sales assets, Gaprom and SIBUR exchanged securities. SIBUR, via Siburenergomenedzhment received 7 percent of shares in Mezhregionenergosbyt. Mezhregionenergosbyt became the owner of 51.57 percent of shares in Siburenergomenedzhment.
According to a company news release, the consolidation of energy sales assets will make it possible to increase the bottom line at the company and stabilize Gazprom and SIBUR energy companies.
