Sorochinskneft Launches Four Gas Turbine Power Stations

As part of its program to utilise associated petroleum gas (APG), Sorochinskneft launched four gas turbine power stations in July 2010 and its Rodnikovskoye power center, the company reported in a news release.
since 2008, the company has invested about 570 million rubles into the project. One station has a power capacity of 1.8 mWt and consumes 15,900 cubic meters of gas a day.
Using the new power stations will enable the company to use up to 70 percent of its APG,TNK-BP reports.
By the end of the year, the company will fulfil project pans to raise APG utilization to 95 percent. Gas from the Romanovskoye and Vrezovskoye fields will be used to increase loads at the stations.
