LUKOIL held special tactical maneuvers targeting the liquidation of gas, oil and water shows and possible open oil and gas fountain response at Yu. Korchagin field located in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.
As part of the maneuvers, particular tactics were practiced at the offshore ice-resistant fixed platform, namely, the evacuation and protection of the personnel. In addition, tactics were practiced in nearly real conditions with the use of special well-kill equipment, aimed at accident elimination in the well during drilling, as well as in the production well.
The maneuvers proved a high degree of coordination and cooperation of all forces and means, as well as the availability of the equipment and resources necessary to promptly prevent and respond to emergencies at the offshore ice-resistant fixed platform located at Yu. Korchagin field.
The specialists of ООО LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft, ООО BKE-Shelf, the State Marine Rescue and Coordination Center, the North-Caspian Department for Emergency and Subsea Engineering Operations, representatives of the EMERCOM of the Russian Federation and the RF Rostekhnadzor all participated in the maneuvers.
