The government of the Ulyanovsk Region and Gazpromneft-Aero have reached an agreement on the selection of a plot of land at the Ulyanovsk-Vostochny International Airport for the construction of a new Gazpromneft-Aero refueling facility.
The refueling facility will be designed around plans for the development of an air-freight hub in Ulyanovsk as a special airport economic zone. The existing production capacity of Gazpromneft-Aero Ulyanovsk, the company that performs aircraft refueling at the city's airports, were designed to meet the Ulyanovsk airports' current aviation fuel needs.
The Ulyanovsk Region's partnership with Gazpromneft-Aero has been growing productively under an agreement signed at the first International Air Transport Forum in April 2011. Gazpromneft-Aero Ulyanovsk, a subsidiary of Gazpromneft-Aero, began operating in the region in December 2011.
