Cosco Corporation (Singapore) Limited reported that Cosco (Dalian) Shipyard Co., Ltd, has won a contract from a Chinese company to build 2 deepwater platform supply vessels for delivery in the second quarter of 2015.
Another Cosco’s unit, Cosco (Guangdong) Shipyard Co., Ltd, bagged an order from the same Chinese firm to build 2 anchor handling tug supply vessels, which are also scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2015.
“The total value of the above contracts is over $96.2 million (CNY 590 million),” Cosco said in a press release.
Separately, Cosco (Dalian) Shipyard Co. Ltd. clinched a contract valued over $170 million from a European company to build a jackup for delivery in the third quarter of 2015.
Meanwhile, the company said that Cosco (Qidong) Shipyard Co., Ltd, another subsidiary of Cosco Shipyard, has delivered a jackup barge "IB914" and a transportation barge "IB924", to an Australian company.
“The delivery documents were signed by and between Cosco Qidong and the customer in July,” Cosco said in a separate press release.
