Led by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, the Company's delegation, paid a visit to China today.
As part of the visit, Alexey Miller met with Zhang Gaoli, First Vice Premier of China's State Council.
The parties addressed the bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. Particularly, they discussed the projects for pipeline gas supplies to China via the eastern and western routes from Russia's Far East. The meeting also paid attention to the future joint actions in the underground storage and power generation areas.
As part of the visit, Alexey Miller met with Wang Yilin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNPC. The meeting looked upon the progress with the project for gas supply to China via the eastern route. The parties confirmed their intention to sign the Agreement on engineering and constructing a cross-border section of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline including the submerged crossing under the Amur River.ф
