Transneft Upper Volga has started constructing a vertical steel tank with fixed roof with the amount of 5,000 cubic metres for diesel oil receiving and storage at Ryazan LODS (line operation dispatcher station) of Ryazan RPD (Regional Oil Pipeline Department) as part of implementation of the Sever Project.
According to Transneft report on June 21, 2016, at the present time necessary complex dismantling of the existing buildings and constructions is conducted at the industrial facility.
Construction works and tank farm enlargement at Ryazan LODS is one of the conditions of implementing the project on increasing diesel oil supplies for export through part of oil trunk pipelines of Baltic Pipeline System (BPS), redesigned for petroleum products pumping, to oil port Primorsk as part of the Sever investment project.
The first stage of the project on increasing diesel oil supplies for export through BPS to oil port Primorsk (Sever-15) provides for increasing the amounts from 8.5 to 15 million tons a year. As part of the second stage (Sever-25) petroleum products export will be equal to 25 million tons a year.
