Transneft Diascan has performed diagnostics of more than 20 thousand kilometres of oil pipelines for the six months of 2016
Transneft Diascan has diagnosed 20,549.55 kilometres of oil trunk pipelines (OTP) of Transneft for the first semester of 2016 using pipeline inspection gadgets.
Transneft Diascan reported on July 6, 2016, that the company has diagnosed 20,549.55 kilometres of oil trunk pipelines (OTP) of Transneft for the first semester of 2016 using pipeline inspection gadgets.
These indices correspond to the plan of diagnostic examination for 2016. The main part of works was conducted at oil pipelines of Transneft East (3,321.26 kilometres), Transneft Volga Region (3,016.89 kilometres) and Transneft Kama Region (2,303.98 kilometres).
As well 3,750.22 kilometres of petroleum products trunk pipelines (PPTP) were diagnosed for the six months of 2016. Almost half of works were conducted at the facilities of Transneft Baltic, where 1,604.59 kilometres of PPTP were inspected with examination devices.
According to the results of the in-line inspection, 287 technical reports, including 194 reports on OTP, 93 reports on PPTP, were prepared within the specified period. The defects, detected during the inspection, are eliminated in the process of the planned repair works.
Transneft Diascan diagnoses pipelines from 159 mm to 1,220 mm with the help of own-produced pipeline inspection gadgets (PIGs): geometry tools, ultrasonic, magnetic and combined magnetic ultrasonic defectoscopes. A number of PIGs produced by Transneft Diascan are unique in their technical parameters and are unrivaled throughout the world. The main task of the enterprise is securing technical reliability of Transneft oil pipeline system.
