Specialists of Flaw-Detection Laboratory of Transneft Urals inspected more than 1000 welding joints

Specialists of Flaw-Detection Laboratory of Specialized Department for Emergency Prevention and Response (SDEPR) of Transneft Urals conducted radiographic and ultrasonic inspection of 376 welding joints and 50 manufacturing holes in June 2016 during the planned works.

As Transneft Urals reported on 11 July, 2016, analysis of 279 joints more has been conducted as part of welders qualification test, welding procedure qualification and welders training.

As well additional flaw-detection inspection of 45 joints was performed during the works at underwater crossings of Ufa – Petropavlovsk (across the rivers Talaya and Atlyan) and Ufa – West Direction (across the river Ik) petroleum products trunk pipelines. Additional flaw-detection inspection of 312 joints more was conducted during the works at underwater crossings of Ust-Balyk-Kurgan-Ufa-Almetievsk (UBKUA) oil trunk pipeline across the rivers Belaya and Ufa.

Additional flaw-detection inspection and ultrasonic inspection of 159 defects and welded elements, 5 sleeves, 10 air escape valves, 3 T-bends has been performed. During medium repair of 46 valves diagnostics of stop valves was performed by 10 specialists of Flaw-Detection Laboratory of SDEPR.

The employees of Flaw-Detection Laboratory of SDEPR as well provided incoming inspection of materials supplied to warehouses of structural subdivisions of Transneft Urals.
