Russia’s Volga Gas’ reported on June 5, 2017, that monthly production has been affected by ongoing testing of a gas sweetening process.
The company, based in the Volga region said average gas processing capacity was reduced by 28%, in May as expected, in order to permit full industrial testing of the new gas sweetening process.
The reduction in production to continue through June before full plant capacity comes back online.
Group production is expected to return progressively to over 8,000 boe per day.
The implementation of the new Redox processing is expected to reduce processing costs materially and since Redox is regenerative, will substantially eliminate the requirement to dispose of spent chemicals.
