Gazprom and Uniper discuss ongoing cooperation

Moscow, March 14 - Neftegaz.RU. A working meeting between Alexey Miller, CEO of Gazprom, and Bernhard Reutersberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Uniper, took place in Russia on March 13.

The parties discussed ongoing issues related to cooperation, including Russian gas supplies and the progress of the Nord Stream 2 project. It was noted that about 830 kilometers of pipes – some 34 % of the gas pipeline’s total length – has been laid in the Baltic Sea to date.

Uniper is an energy company focused on natural gas, power generation, and global energy trading. The scientific and technical cooperation between Gazprom and German Uniper started in 1992.

The joint scientific and technical programs carried out by the 2 companies cover nearly every stage of the production cycle, from hydrocarbon extraction and transportation to processing and marketing. The collaborative efforts include LNG production and promotion of natural gas as a vehicle fuel.
