Minsk, September 30 - Neftegaz.RU. Belorusneft intends to develop a network of superfast charging stations as from 2022, BelTA learned from the company's Deputy Director General for Construction, General Affairs, and Ideology Andrei Kotik during the international conference “The oil products and gas market of Belarus: Production, trading and retail”.
“At present we have 129 charging stations. People can already drive electric cars without problems along major motorways without any fear of getting stranded on the road due to lack of power. It was a very strong surprise for participants of an electric car rally from Monte-Carlo to St Petersburg. The number of charging stations will rise to 500 in 2021. Starting 2022 we will begin developing a network of superfast charging stations. Financial organizations demonstrate live interest in it. We stay in touch with the European Investment Bank, the EBRD, and the World Bank,” Andrei Kotik said.
Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries. Belorusneft is also Belarus' largest retailer of oil products and operates the country's largest automobile refueling stations chain.
