Three global automakers, Toyota Motor Corp, Nissan Motor Co and Honda Motor Co, paced a 7.5 per cent gain in the nation's vehicle sales last month as they introduced new luxury models.
Cars sales for Japan's 12 automakers rose to 332,822 units in November from a year earlier, the first gain in three months, Japan Automobile Dealers Association said.
Nissan expects the new Fuga luxury sedan will help meet its goal of a fifth straight year of record earnings. Nissan, Toyota and Honda, the nation's three largest automakers, are releasing new models to compete with imports from DaimlerChrysler AG and BMW AG.
