Reuters reported that SHOWA SHELL SEKIYU K.K. plans to build a solar panel plant which will produce solar cells made of copper and indium at a cost of more than JPY 100 billion in 2011. The plant is expected to have an annual capacity of 1,000 megawatts. The location of the new plant was not disclosed.
