Revamping of Anzhero-Sudzhensk-Krasnoyarsk OTP Section Finalized at Novosibirsk Regional Oil Pipeline Department

Kashtan-Achinsk section of Anzhero-Sudzhensk-Krasnoyarsk oil trunk pipeline was connected at Novosibirsk Regional Oil Pipeline Department (a branch of Transneft Western Siberia) as part of technical upgrading and revamping program. The overall section length is ca. 8 km, including 4 motorway crossings.

Transneft reported on July 7, 2016, that revamping was initiated in November 2015. Over 8 months, the professionals welded the revamped section, insulated welded joints, carried out trenching, conducted hydrotesting. When the pipeline was laid down, it was ballasted with ca. 820 reinforced concrete densifiers. Such technical solution is due to the geological features of watered soils in the locality where Anzhero-Sudzhensk-Krasnoyarsk oil trunk pipeline passes. It is noteworthy that ballasting devices maximize industrial and environmental safety during OTP further operation.

Four motorway crossings, of overall 178 meters long, were replaced during construction and installation in Kashtan-Achinsk section. Late in June 2016, the replaced section was technologically connected to the existing OTP. Technical and biological reclaiming of the work site is underway. Permanent overpasses are being built.

Late in June 2016, 68-Kashtan and Mariinsk-Kashtan sections, of 10.5 km long, in Novosibirsk ROPD responsibility area, were connected to the existing oil pipeline system after revamping.
