Kazakh's KazTransOil announced on November 15, 2017, about the approval of tariffs and cost for the transportation of Russian oil through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.
The agreement between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on cooperation in the energy sector, signed on September 16, 2017, supported the transportation of Russian oil to Uzbekistan via Kazakhstan, including the transportation of oil by trunk oil pipelines of KazTransOil to the oil loading station Shagyr.
The agreement on import oil supplies was reached during the visits of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kazakhstan and Russia.
The CEO of KazTransOil approved the cost of transportation for the period till December 31, 2017:
1) Russian-Kazakh border - Shagyr oil loading point is set in the amount of $11.7 for a ton per 1,000 km (excl.VAT)
2) Loading of oil into railway tanks at the Shagyr station will cost $0.8 per ton (excl. VAT).
Also, the cost of transportation of Russian oil through the territory of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan in the amount of $22.9 per a ton (excl. VAT) was established for non-residents.
The price includes the cost of pumping oil along the route Russian-Kazakh border - Shagyr, taking into account the $22.1 per a ton (excl. VAT) tariff, and tariff for loading oil in railway tanks - $0.8 per a ton (excl. VAT).
