4,656,341 tons of crude oil were lifted from the CPC-R Marine Terminal in September 2018

In September 2018, 4,656,341 gross tons (36,846,520 barrels) of crude oil were lifted from the CPC-R Marine Terminal, which is 561,114 tons (14%) more compared to the same period of the previous year.

Novorossiysk, October 1 - Neftegaz.RU. In September 2018, 4,656,341 gross tons (36,846,520 barrels) of crude oil were lifted from the CPC-R Marine Terminal, which is 561,114 tons (14%) more compared to the same period of the previous year.

Out of the 4,656,341 tons lifted, 2,312,888 tons of crude oil were from Tengiz field, 744,677 tons - from Karachaganak field, 961,738 tons - from Kashagan field and 637,038 tons - from other producers.

In September, the Russian Shippers exported 517,477 gross tons of crude via the CPC-R pipeline system.

 

Oil liftings at the CPC Marine Terminal for the period of 1 January - 30 September 2018 reached 44,862,103 gross tons, out of which 21,484,279 tons were received from Tengiz field, 7,682,536 tons from Karachaganak field and 9,296,176 from Kashagan.

In total, 408 tankers were loaded at the Marine Terminal in January-September 2018 with 43 tankers loaded in September.

 

In total, from 2001 through September 30, 2018, inclusive, 566,408,927 net tons of crude oil were delivered to world markets by the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline system. 492,712,018 tons of that crude oil came from Kazakhstani Shippers and 73,696,909 tons were produced in Russia.

 

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects in energy sector with participation of foreign capital in the CIS.

Length of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km; it transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including the Caspian Region.

CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.

CPC Shareholders: Russian Federation (represented by Transneft - 24% and CPC Company - 7%) - 31%; Republic of Kazakhstan (represented by KazMunayGaz - 19% and Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures LLC - 1.75%) - 20.75%; Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium Company - 15%, LUKARCO B.V. - 12.5%, Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company - 7.5%, Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures Limited - 7.5%, BG Overseas Holding Limited - 2%, Eni International N.A. N.V. - 2% and Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC - 1.75%.
