At the moment the operation is stable with flow rate of 327 bblpd and has already exceeded maximum runlife values of the previous equipment.
Operating conditions are considered as harsh and include high GOR, sand production, and severe DLS. These conditions are the best fit for UHS ESP for the following reasons:
-
High separation efficiency of the Gas Separator, which is the result of the ultra-high operating speed (up to 12,000 rpm) and special design
-
High abrasion resistance due to hard alloys applied to the pump along with the high-strength friction pairs allowing for operation with maximum solid content up to 2,000 mg/l
-
Compact UHS ESP design (total 32.8 ft long) allows to pass highly deviated well sections and operate below perforations
Surface equipment includes: custom-made high-frequency step-up transformer, input filter for harmonic distortion mitigation, and Variable Frequency Drive with a vector control algorithm to maintain high efficiency of motor operation.
At this moment another Ultra-High Speed ESP is being installed at Client’s offshore project in Atlantic Ocean.
